Refund Policy

_Last updated: 3 August 2026_

This policy covers Diagon subscription charges made through www.soverain.cz — your first payment and every renewal after it. It does not apply to Kanban+, which is sold separately through the Atlassian Marketplace under Atlassian's terms.

The short version

Ask for a refund within 14 days of a charge and you'll get one. No questions asked, no forms to argue with. This applies to renewals exactly as it applies to your first payment: if a subscription renewed and you'd rather it hadn't, tell us within 14 days of that charge and we'll refund it in full. We'd rather refund you than have an unhappy customer.

Who handles the refund

When you subscribe to Diagon, the seller of record is Paddle (Paddle.com Market Limited in the UK, or Paddle.com Inc. for US buyers). Paddle runs the checkout, charges you, issues your invoice, and processes refunds under Paddle's Buyer Terms.

Paddle's own policy allows refund requests within 14 days of a charge. Where Paddle's policy leaves the decision to discretion, our standing instruction to Paddle is simple: any request made within that window gets approved, renewal charges included.

How to request a refund

Either of these works:

  • Click the receipt link in your Paddle receipt email — first purchase or renewal — and follow the refund option, or
  • Go to paddle.net, find the charge, and select Request refund.

Refunds go back to your original payment method, handled entirely by Paddle. Soverain never sees or stores your payment details. Once a refund is approved, it typically arrives in 5–10 business days — the exact timing depends on your bank or card issuer, not on us or Paddle.

If you simply don't want to be charged again, cancel instead: you can do that anytime from the same Paddle portal, and your access runs to the end of the period you've already paid for.

Try before you buy

You shouldn't need a refund to find out whether Diagon suits you. Every install starts with a 30-day free trial — the full app, every feature, no account and no card. Please try it on your own machine first; that's exactly what the trial is for.

EU and UK withdrawal right

If you're a consumer in the EU, EEA, or UK, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal. Because a licence key is digital content delivered immediately, Paddle's checkout asks you to acknowledge immediate delivery, which is the standard legal step for digital purchases. In practice this changes nothing for you: our own 14-day no-questions-asked refund covers the same period — on the first charge and on every renewal — regardless.

After a refund

When a charge is refunded, the subscription period it paid for ends with it: the licence key stops renewing, and once it lapses Diagon locks until you subscribe again. Your work is untouched. Diagrams are plain-text files that stay on your machine and open in any editor, refunded or not — the app is the thing that needs a subscription, never your documents.

Faulty software is different

The 14-day window is our goodwill policy — it is not the limit of your rights. If Diagon is defective or doesn't match what we've described, your statutory consumer rights for digital content apply regardless of any window. Email hello@soverain.cz and we'll put it right.

If something goes wrong

Refunds are processed by Paddle, but you're our customer. If a refund request stalls, gets lost, or anything else goes sideways, email us at hello@soverain.cz and we'll sort it out with Paddle directly.
